FREE READING HELP
Program for Adults
The Hawkeye Adult Literacy Project at Hawkeye Community College offers help for non-readers.
The program pairs tutors with non-readers for weekly sessions at a mutually agreeable time and place. Students read successfully at the first lesson. This helps students until they can join established ABE classes.
Training for tutors is offered several times a year at no cost to volunteer literacy tutors.
For more information or to enroll, call Sandy jensens at 234-5745.
